# Vanity Inset Soakers The Hastings AQH Acrylic Tub Follows the Setup of the Sink By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-12-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hastings-aqh-acrylic-tub References: [blog.2modern](http://blog.2modern.com/2011/12/modern-bathing.html) & [qualitybath](http://www.qualitybath.com/product~name~Hastings%20AQ-TUB~ID~108786.htm) There is no way you're going to move the bathtub to a different corner of your washroom, unless you're undertaking a significant renovation. Intriguingly, the [Hastings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poli-series) AQH Acrylic Tub takes on such a light-footed illusion which offers the impression that it could easily be relocated. The jacuzzi is sculpted without the same hollow sides that most soakers embody. Instead, the contours of the [broad white basin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archiplan-compact-basin-collection) are actually evident when observing the fixture's profile. With a relatively small rectangular base, the edges of the bathtub seem to be supported by a hard polymer mounting. This tapers off towards the floor into four slender legs. Mimicking the old style of [claw foot bath legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baina-1) in a sophisticated and modern way, the Hastings AQH Acrylic Tub is a chic piece that lightens the atmosphere of a typically heavy-looking room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Lightweight Bath Fixtures:** Opportunity for creating bathtub designs that are visually light and easy to move without significant renovation. - **New Leg Designs:** Opportunity for developing elegant leg designs for bathtubs that mimic claw foot legs in a modern way. - **Contoured Bathtubs:** Opportunity for constructing bathtubs that showcase the contours of the basin instead of having hollow sides. ### Where This Applies - **Bathroom Fixture Manufacturing:** Manufacturing companies can create lightweight bathtubs with innovative leg designs. - **Interior Design:** Designers can explore the use of contoured bathtubs to create a sophisticated look in bathrooms. - **Home Renovation:** Home renovation companies can offer lightweight bathtub solutions for easy relocation during home renovations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [High-End Walk-In Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/american-standard.md) - [Symmetrical Curved Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection.md) - [Rounded Hydromassage Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [AI-Enhanced Contemporary Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-and-co.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md)
