The smartphone is characterized by the [speaker bump on the rear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poco-f8-series) that is protected by a plastic grille that helps protect the components without inhibiting airflow. This will allow users to leave their [portable speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ljud) at home in favor of an all-in-one device that is ideal for those looking to enjoy music without headphones. The conceptual Harman Kardon Harmony smartphone is modestly designed with essential but simple additional features like a single-lens camera system on the rear and a dual hole-punch camera on the front. The curvaceous design of the smartphone also works to enhance its ability to be gripped for a more secure feeling in the hand. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Audio-focused Smartphones:** There is potential for mobile phone manufacturers to create more audio-focused smartphones that integrate high-quality speakers for an immersive listening experience. - **All-in-one Mobile Devices:** The concept of an all-in-one device with built-in high-quality speakers opens the doors for manufacturers to explore creating more feature-rich, multifunctional devices. - **Modest and Essential Smartphone Design:** Smartphone design trends could shift towards more modest and essential designs, where emphasis is placed on product functionality rather than flashy aesthetics. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Mobile Phone Manufacturing:** Mobile phone manufacturers can capitalize on creating audio-centric smartphones with innovative and immersive audio solutions, potentially disrupting the competition. - **Portable Speaker Manufacturing:** Portable speaker manufacturers may need to innovate and create solutions that are more portable, compact, and offer audio experiences that are different from smartphone speakers. - **Consumer Electronics Retail:** Consumer electronics retail can explore carrying more modest and essential smartphones that are functional and provide a high-quality audio experience, redefining the smartphone market for consumers who prioritize functionality over design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transparent Gramophone-Like Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-speaker-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Traveler Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traveller-speaker.md) - [Decor-Centric Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-speaker.md) - [Acousto-Optic Smart Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-wireless-speaker-design.md) - [Dual-Display Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-vision.md) - [Job Site-Ready Speaker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caterpillar-aurras-speaker-concept.md) - [Retro Camera-Like Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kodak-c400r-bluetooth-speaker.md) - [User-Following Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solros-speaker.md) - [Washing Machine-Inspired Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hari-3d.md)
