The unconventional instrument makes the most of a player's body to generate an electrical current through the burger and turn its ingredients into musical tones. Rather than strumming the strings of a guitar, players are able to tap the burger to complete the electrical circuit, as the design of the guitar is wired with a single-board micro-controller. Hard Rock Cafe created the world's first [playable burger-powered guitar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desert-drip-char-meal) to share the tune of 'The Golden Solo,' which kicks off the launch of its 24-Karat Gold Leaf Steak Burger. The burger-powered Hard Rock Cafe guitar was created by the same legendary guitar maker who has catered to clients like Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Publicity Stunts](https://www.trendhunter.com/publicitystunts) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Interactive Instruments:** The creation of burger-powered guitars demonstrates the trend of interactive instruments, where unconventional methods are used to produce music. - **Edible Electronics:** The use of burgers as a medium for generating electrical current highlights the trend of edible electronics, where food is integrated with technology. - **Customized Experiences:** The creation of a one-of-a-kind guitar for Hard Rock Cafe showcases the trend of customized experiences, where unique and personalized products are offered to customers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Music Production:** The burger-powered guitars present a disruptive innovation opportunity in the music production industry, allowing for new and unconventional sound creation techniques. - **Food Technology:** The integration of burgers and technology in the form of edible electronics opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the food technology industry, where unique culinary experiences can be created. - **Luxury Hospitality:** Hard Rock Cafe's creation of a custom, gold leaf burger-powered guitar highlights a disruptive innovation opportunity in the luxury hospitality industry, where unique and exclusive offerings can enhance customer experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recycled Guitar Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-guitar-1.md) - [Globally Inspired Burgers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-rock-cafe-world-burger-tour.md) - [Soccer Legend-Approved Burgers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/messi-burger.md) - [Electronic String Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harmoni.md) - [Button-Activated Guitar Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rockdreamer-guitarbar.md) - [Shreddable Steampunk Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-guitar.md) - [Effect-Emitting Guitar Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-gadgets.md) - [Plant-Based Burger Diner Partnerships](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-meat-and-hard-rock-cafe.md) - [Worldly Burger Tour Competitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/world-burger-tour-competition.md)
