The hard drive system boast a [colorful, cylindrical form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage) that is somewhat reminiscent of the way a child might stack block toys. The top of the tower contains a cooling fan to keep all of the drives below it cool, as well as a base that includes necessary connectors and the power button. The customizable system makes it possible for the [capped cooling fan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerotrac) to rest atop storage systems of different colors, heights and internal storage sizes, all the while being highly functional and an aesthetically pleasing addition to one's computer workspace. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Hard Drive Systems:** The UP Memory Tower concept highlights the trend of customizable and visually appealing hard drive systems for professionals working with large file sizes. - **Graphic Storage Visualization:** The use of a colored, graphic system in the UP Memory Tower showcases the trend of visualizing storage capacity to easily determine available or removed space. - **Functional Aesthetic Design:** The UP Memory Tower's cylindrical form and customizable options represent the trend of combining functional and visually pleasing design elements in computer workspaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology Hardware:** The modular hard drive system trend presents disruptive innovation opportunities for technology hardware companies to create customizable and visually appealing storage solutions for professionals. - **Digital Media Production:** The graphic storage visualization trend in the UP Memory Tower opens up disruptive innovation opportunities for the digital media production industry to improve storage management and efficiency for professionals working with large file sizes. - **Office Furniture and Accessories:** The functional aesthetic design trend of the UP Memory Tower offers disruptive innovation opportunities for office furniture and accessories companies to create stylish and functional computer workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Desk-Mounted Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-drive-concept.md) - [Shipping Container Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargo-hard-drive1.md) - [Folder-Shaped Hard Drive Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folder-external-hard-disk.md) - [Vertical Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-desk1.md) - [Stackable Tower Workstation Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyl-desk-organizer.md) - [Centralized Cloud Storage Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fxblox.md) - [Playful External Hard-Disk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargo-hard-drive.md) - [Heat-Dissipating Disk Enclosures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disk-enclosure.md) - [High-Power Personal Cloud Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icewhale-zimacube.md)
