# Marvelous Mollusk Bird Feeders Happy Clam Birdfeeder is the Perfect "Shellter" for Peckish Birds By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-01-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/happy-clam-birdfeeder References: [blog.2modern](http://blog.2modern.com/2013/01/need-happy-clam-birdfeeder-from-unurth.html) & [unurthhome](http://www.unurthhome.com/collections/all/products/happy-as-a-clam-birdfeeder) There are some overlaps between the species of the sea and those of the air, but the Happy Clam Birdfeeder does not represent them. The charming suspended dish has been modeled after the sand-dwelling clam shell and is used to offer nourishment to [dry-foraging fowl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-bird). Unurth's design was inspired by beach findings in Zuma and Santa Cruz, California. The exquisite mollusk armor takes a lovely shape that actually bears a slight resemblance to the full oval form of a bird's egg -- at least with the rounded manner by which this clam shell has been sculpted. The winsome white stonewear object hangs elegantly from natural manilla rope. The Happy Clam Birdfeeder incorporates a bowl and a cover to keep birdseed dry and scrumptious. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nature-inspired Bird Feeders:** There is a trend towards creating bird feeders inspired by elements found in nature, such as clam shells. - **Creative Bird Feeder Designs:** There is a trend towards designing bird feeders with unique and charming shapes, like the Happy Clam Birdfeeder. - **Functional and Aesthetic Bird Feeders:** There is a trend towards bird feeders that not only provide nourishment but also serve as decorative objects in outdoor spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Home Decor:** There is an opportunity for companies in the outdoor home decor industry to create and market unique bird feeders like the Happy Clam Birdfeeder. - **Agriculture and Farming:** There is an opportunity for companies in the agriculture and farming industry to develop innovative bird feeders that provide nourishment to birds. - **Gardening and Landscape Design:** There is an opportunity for companies in the gardening and landscape design industry to incorporate nature-inspired bird feeders into outdoor spaces to attract birds and enhance the aesthetic appeal. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Uniquely-Shaped Animal Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-camper-mesh-bird-feeder.md) - [Sustainable Bird House Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-bird.md) - [Iridescent Garden Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handpainted-school-of-fish-glass-bird-bath.md) - [Bird-Shaped Food Packagings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bigbilled-bird-food-concept.md) - [Scallop Shell-Constructed Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shellmet.md) - [Targeted Bird Seed Blends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cool-birds.md) - [Squirrel-Resistant Smart Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdkiss-s1.md) - [Bird-Inspired Speaker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdinspired-speaker.md) - [Smart Hummingbird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/feathersnap-hummingbird-feeder.md)
