In November, Feldmann was awarded the $100,000 for winning the Hugo Boss Prize and is using the display as an art form to symbolize the relationship that should exist between money and art. Feldmann was quoted by the [New York Times](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/command-brand-hannah-brown) as saying, "I'm 70 years old, and I began making art in the ’50s. At that time there was no money in the art world. Money and art didn’t exist. So for me $100,000 is very special. It’s incredible really. And I would like to show the quantity of it." It took 13 days to pin down the 100,000 out-of-circulation bills. The striking, brilliant exhibition began May 20 and will continue to November 2, 2011. The trip to New York to see this [one-of-a-kind exhibit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-time) may just be worth your dollar! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Artistic Integration of Money:** An emerging trend where artists use money as a medium to provoke thought and symbolize the relationship between money and art. - **Experiential Museum Exhibits:** A growing trend in museums where immersive and interactive exhibits provide a unique and memorable visitor experience. - **Recognition of Historical Value:** A trend where museums acknowledge the importance and impact of historical artifacts and currency in art and culture. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Culture:** The art and culture industry can leverage the trend of artistic integration of money to create thought-provoking and unconventional exhibits. - **Museum and Tourism:** The trend of experiential museum exhibits presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the museum and tourism industry by attracting more visitors and enhancing their engagement. - **Finance and Currency:** The recognition of the historical value of currency and its integration in art presents the finance and currency industry with opportunities to explore new narratives and perspectives on money. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Graffiti Culture Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1970s-graffiti-today.md) - [Psychedelic Sculptural Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frank-stella-recent-sculpture.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Pearl-Centric Art Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giga-pearl.md) - [Artist-Honoring Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artist-honoring-exhibition.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Colorful Patterned Infinity Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/i-spend-each-day-embracing-flowers.md) - [American Art Furniture Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/american-art-furniture.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md)
