# Hilarious Hanging Instruments The Handjob Hooks are Handy and Endlessly Entertaining By Souzan Michael | Published 2011-09-14 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handjob-hooks References: [incrediblethings](http://www.incrediblethings.com/art-design/handjob-hooks-are-not-what-you-think/) & [bouf](http://www.bouf.com/buy/product/54039/handjob-hooks--ok) Admit it, buying furniture and home accessories can get boring after a while (shelving units can only be entertaining for so long), but rather than turning home decorating into a lugubrious task, items like Handjob Hooks can spruce up both your shopping experience and the ambiance of your living space. These funny little hooks look like hands growing out of your wall and are designed in the shape of common and well known hand gestures, like the peace symbol, a thumbs up, and of course, the middle finger. According to the website, Handjob Hooks “grow from the wall in a series a familiar gestures portraying welcome, pleasure, farewell and indeed hostility to create wall art or somewhere for your coats to call home.” While these fun accessories may not be appreciated by all (I suppose it would be terrifying to see an outline of hands growing out of your wall in the middle of the night), they are certainly a unique way of approaching home decorating. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Pranks](https://www.trendhunter.com/pranks) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Heat-Activated Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pilot-frixion-pens.md) - [Office Supply Prank Prints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herlitz-cheap-fun-campaign.md) - [Vomit-Inducing Sound Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonic-nausea-device.md) - [Prankster Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pull-my-finger-pen.md) - [Glass-Shattering Screamers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panic-button.md) - [Old Bubble Gum Magnets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/already-been-chewed-magnet.md) - [Blaring Hipster Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amanda-fordyce.md) - [Colorful Cubed Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-volvo.md) - [Prank Mathematical Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-wrongulator.md)
