The device is a natural step forward from the [Dyson](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wash-g1) Airblade dryer, which struck everyone as an incredibly cool hand-drying solution when it was introduced in 2006. The Robo-Washer delivers 360-degree jets of high-pressure soapy water followed by a blast of drying air to give you an all-inclusive touch-free hand-cleaning experience with no mess or hassle. It's essentially a car-wash for your hands -- users stick their hands in the hole and rub them together as they're sprayed with soapy water. Users then keep rubbing their hands together as the Robo-Washer shifts to dryer mode. Drippings from the Robo-Washer are discreetly and effectively contained a bucket drain system so there's no mess or spillage. The developers of this [robotic hand washer and dryer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-cleaning-device) are trying to raise $100,000 of funds through the crowdfunding website [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/razor-beam). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Touch-free Hand Cleaning:** The trend of touch-free hand cleaning has disruptive innovation opportunities in developing automated hand-washing solutions that provide a comprehensive cleansing experience. - **360-degree Pressure Washing:** The trend of 360-degree pressure washing presents disruptive innovation opportunities in creating devices that deliver high-pressure soapy water from all angles for a more effective hand-cleaning experience. - **Automated Hand Dryers:** The trend of automated hand dryers offers disruptive innovation opportunities in designing advanced drying solutions that utilize efficient airflow and minimize mess or spillage. ### Where This Applies - **Personal Hygiene:** The personal hygiene industry can explore disruptive innovation opportunities by leveraging robotic technology to develop advanced hand-cleansing devices that provide convenience and improved cleanliness. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can benefit from disruptive innovation by incorporating touch-free hand cleaning solutions into their establishments, ensuring hygienic practices for guests and staff. - **Public Health:** The public health sector can capitalize on disruptive innovation opportunities by adopting automated hand-cleaning systems to promote effective hand hygiene and reduce the spread of infections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Human Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirai-human-washing-machine.md) - [Mini Desktop Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mopy.md) - [Hygienic At-Home Hand Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-towel-hand-dryer.md) - [Compact Washer-Dryer Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washerdryer-robot.md) - [Post-Snacking Fingertip Washers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lays-fingertip-washing-machine.md) - [Automated At-Home Soap Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-soap-pump.md) - [Waterless Smart Cleaning Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3i-intelligent-cleaning-station.md) - [Smart-Designed Handwash Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-designed-handwash-dispenser.md) - [Window-Cleaning Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winbot-w2.md)
