This artist shows his hands creating art and craft-styled activities or just simply playing a musical instrument. In some images, Ponypork's hands are folding laundry or even dicing up a fish. The fresh preservative allows the audience to see daily tasks in a completely new way. Each image is taken from a bird's-eye view looking down onto the hands and whatever act they are conducting. The images often create a beautiful display of patterns that feature objects such as cans of paint, lines of chalk or brightly colored dots that range in size. Ponypork displays his hand portraits through social media outlets and specifically an Instagram account called '#whatmyhandsdoing' where all of the images can be viewed. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Intricate Hand Portraits:** Opportunity for artists and photographers to create unique hand portraits that showcase daily activities. - **Bird's-eye View Photography:** Opportunity for photographers to capture captivating images from a bird's-eye view perspective. - **Visualizing Daily Tasks:** Opportunity to use visual art to present everyday tasks in a creative and engaging way. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Photography Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for artists and photographers to explore new ways of capturing and presenting daily activities. - **Social Media Industry:** Opportunity for social media platforms to provide a space for artists like Ponypork to share their hand portraits and gain a following. - **Creative Advertising Industry:** Opportunity for advertisers to incorporate hand portraits into campaigns to visually communicate daily activities and create a unique brand identity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Robotic Portrait Sketches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pankraz-piktograph.md) - [Photography Project Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [Human Hair-Made Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/range-of-pots.md) - [Miniaturized Product Art Photographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-muji.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md)
