# Recycled Hand-Cut Lighting 'Cloud Lamps' by Yu Jordy Fu By Noora Abu Eitah | Published 2008-11-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hand-made-paper-lamps-cloud-lamps-by-yu-jordy-fu References: [jordyfu](http://www.jordyfu.co.uk/shop/) Designer Yu Jordy Fu used paper which she cut by hand to design the 'Cloud Lamps.' The [handmade lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/see-earth) are made with [recycled paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi) and can be used with both a [floor lamp base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp) and with a ceiling cord set, according to Yu Jordy Fu's website. The collection features lamps of different sizes but shares a magical approach that adds intimacy and warmth to any traditional lamp. I wonder how it can handle the heat or dust accumulated over time... ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Recycled Lighting:** Exploring innovative ways to incorporate recycled materials into lighting design. - **Handcrafted Lamps:** Embracing the art of hand-cut design in the creation of unique lighting fixtures. - **Sustainable Design:** Finding eco-friendly solutions for lighting while maintaining aesthetic appeal. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to offer eco-conscious lighting options to their clients. - **Sustainability:** The sustainable lighting industry can benefit from incorporating handcrafted and recycled materials. - **Home Decor:** Providing consumers with a range of visually appealing and eco-friendly lighting options for their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recycled Paper Pulp Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-lamp1.md) - [Organic Paper-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farolito.md) - [Posh Paper Craft-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/japandi-lamp.md) - [Geometric Nostalgic Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handmaid-table-lamp.md) - [Recycled Material Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-cleo-lamp.md) - [Recycled Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zbozhzha-pendant-light.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Recycled Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys-collection.md) - [3D-Printed Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/her-floor-lamp.md)
