Created by Danish floral designer Nicolai Bergmann, the [digitally enhanced flower exhibition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowers-bloom-1) is currently being presented at the [historic Fukuoka / Dazaifu Tenmangu Shinto shrine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/historic-ar-experience). The shrine has played host to the flower festival in 2014 and 2016, but Bergmann's exhibit is the first of its kind. The decision to show Hanami 2050 was to create something never seen before and to explore how digital art will play a role in the development of future exhibitions. Hanami 2050 takes heavy influence from the [traditional Japanese festival](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macys-flower-show) and uses the deep pink colors of the flowers as a strong theme. Bergmann created his exhibit by using digital loops called 'Future Flowers' in conjunction with Japanese design firm OneSal.
