[East Hampton Residence](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shanghai-grand-opera-house) is a streamlined vacation home that doesn't look like your typical cabin or beach house. Instead of a campy vibe, this modern home is all about clean and eco-friendly design details. Its exterior facade is sleek and futuristic and boasts a bunker-like look. While equally as modern, the home's interior is more warm in its aesthetic and features warm hardwood materials and matched furnishings. These wooden elements are paired with its metal and glass finishes that are more industrial in their look. Bathed in natural light, the Hamptons home is a vacationer's dream and is a modern hideaway from the hectic urban jungle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Clean Design Lines:** Opportunity for designers to embrace minimalist aesthetics and create sleek, modern residences. - **Eco-friendly Design:** Innovation opportunity for sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies in residential construction. - **Warm Industrial Aesthetics:** Space for combining cozy wood elements with sleek metal and glass finishes to create inviting modern interiors. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture and Design:** Potential for architects to incorporate clean lines and eco-friendly design practices into their projects. - **Sustainable Materials:** Opportunity for manufacturers to develop and supply eco-friendly building materials for modern residences. - **Residential Construction:** Space for builders to implement warm industrial aesthetics and create modern vacation homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Functionally Elegant Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/old-westbury.md) - [Pyramid-Like Suburban Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oza-sabbeth-architects.md) - [Tree-Lined Striking Modern Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palette-architecture.md) - [Modern cedar homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meadowlark.md) - [Hampton Bays Modern Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tami-wassong.md) - [Monolithic Sleek Summer Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vollerup-atrium.md) - [Mid-Century-Themed Vacation Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bohlin-cywinski-jackson.md) - [Palm Springs-Inspired Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tonal-bliss.md) - [Traditional Barn-Style Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/six-square-house.md)
