# Hammock Pet Beds The Joey Pet Sofa is a Comfortable, Convertible Canine Lounger By Amelia Roblin | Published 2017-09-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hammock-pet-bed References: [red-dot.de](http://red-dot.de/pd/online-exhibition/work/?lang=en&code=16-00461-2017&y=2017&c=227&a=0) & [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/9housepet/) Dog beds come in all shapes and sizes, yet you probably haven't seen something resembling this hammock pet bed. The winner of a Red Dot Design Award, this clever tension seat accommodates a wide range of pooches with a variety of resting preferences. 9House Pet out of Taiwan created a beechwood frame, sturdy enough to hold medium-sized dogs quite securely. The comfort component is introduced with a couple of slip-on canvas pieces that form a firm, suspended seat with an optional cover tier on top. This versatility provides either a higher perch, or a cozy enclosure for the nervous pup. The Joey Dog Sofa is quick and easy to disassemble and clean, unlike your typical cotton-stuffed alternative. This hammock pet bed comes in a variety of colors with a minimalist design to blend into whichever room requires it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Convertible Pet Furniture:** Opportunity to create innovative pet furniture that can be easily transformed into different configurations. - **Suspended Sleeping Solutions:** Potential for developing suspended beds and hammocks for pets to provide a unique and comfortable resting experience. - **Minimalist Pet Design:** Chance to design pet furniture with a minimalist aesthetic that seamlessly integrates with modern home decor. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in manufacturing pet furniture with convertible features and minimalist designs. - **Home Decor Retail:** Potential to offer suspended sleeping solutions and minimalist pet designs as unique and stylish pet furniture options. - **Custom Pet Product Services:** Opportunity to provide customized suspended pet beds and hammocks as part of a premium pet product service. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multi-Use Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-human-dog-bed.md) - [Three-in-One Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-bed-design.md) - [Pet-Accommodating Bed Frame Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-bed.md) - [Zero-Gravity Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hover-dog-bed.md) - [Anti-Fatigue Artisan-Made Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miacara-comodo-dog-bed.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-juno.md) - [Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hound-lounge.md) - [Geodesic Dome Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domehome-dog-bed.md) - [Dog Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-furniture-design.md)
