# Hunger-Inducing Hand Warmers The Hamburger Mouse Pad Keeps You Toasty at Work By Marissa Liu | Published 2009-10-02 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hamburger-mouse-pad References: [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5370923/hamburger-mouse-pad-with-usb-hand-warmer-is-probably-a-matter-of-taste) & [gadget4all](http://www.gadget4all.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=01091) As the air gets colder and winter weather approaches, keep warm while surfing the Internet, gaming or just sitting by the computer with this Hamburger Mouse Pad. The pad is a dual purpose mouse pad and hand-warmer that connects to your computer via a USB. The fairly big Hamburger Mouse Pad measures 260 x 242 x 38mm (that’s a whole lot of burger) and costs $14. It isn’t edible, so if you like to snack while working this might just make your tummy growl a little louder. The Hamburger Mouse Pad is fairly basic and comes only with sesame bun, felt patty and lettuce—no word on whether a cheese or chicken burger version is in the works. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Dual Purpose Mouse Pads:** Opportunity for creating innovative mouse pads that serve additional functions or provide added value, such as hand-warming capabilities. - **Usb-connected Accessories:** Potential for designing USB-connected accessories that enhance user experience while also serving a practical purpose, like keeping hands warm. - **Novelty Desk Items:** Market for unique and playful desk accessories that can bring a touch of fun and functionality to the workplace, like the Hamburger Mouse Pad. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Computer Accessories:** Innovation opportunities for computer accessory manufacturers to create unique and multifunctional products, such as dual purpose mouse pads with additional features. - **Electronics Manufacturing:** Potential for electronics manufacturers to expand their product offerings with USB-connected accessories that serve both practical and entertainment purposes. - **Gift and Novelty Items:** Market for companies specializing in novelty items and gifts, as there is a demand for playful and unique products that can bring joy and functionality to everyday workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Temperature-Adjusting Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stratum-workplace-thermal-comfort.md) - [Warming Graphene-Enhanced Desk Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heated-desk-pad.md) - [Wrist-Supportive Mouse Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curble.md) - [Sushi-Inspired Computer Mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moushi-mouse.md) - [Laptop-Friendly Mouse Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bord-mouse-pad.md) - [Heated Posture Correction Plushies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funbaruzu-warmers.md) - [Antibacterial-Coating Mousepads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antibacterialcoating-mousepad.md) - [Anthropomorphic Hand-Warming Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kawaii-hot-sauce-hand-warmers.md) - [Pizza-Warming Console Sleeves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pizza-wrmr.md)
