# Frightening Doll Plant Holders Scare Trick-or-Treaters with this Terrifying Halloween Planter By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo | Published 2013-10-09 | Special Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halloween-planter References: [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/163740641/halloween-decor-creepy-little-bisque?ref=br_feed_12&br_feed_tlp=halloween) This Halloween planter will definitely make your home one of the scariest ones on the block. This creepy [bisque doll decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/12-days-of-halloween-set) is from Etsy shop BloominHappy1 and it's a great way to send the neighbourhood kids running from your house. The planter comes with an [air plant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trader-joes-mini-can-foliage), and if you set this little doll outside on your porch, you can even decorate the plant with orange and black accessories. The doll is 6 inches, and since its eyes are open, it definitely looks realistic. What makes this toy even scarier is that the head is cut open for the plant to sit comfortably. Another use for this planter is if you carefully remove the plant for the evening, you can use the open head to hold candy and get trick or treaters to stick their hands in to get their candy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Creepy Halloween Decor:** Opportunity for creating and selling unique and frightful Halloween decorations. - **Interactive Planters:** Potential for designing planters with interactive elements to engage and surprise viewers. - **Gothic Home Accessories:** Demand for gothic-inspired home decor items that add a spooky touch to interiors. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Innovation in creating unconventional and eerie home decor items to cater to the Halloween market. - **Gardening:** Opportunity for planters that combine functionality and creepy aesthetics for Halloween enthusiasts. - **E-commerce:** Platform for selling niche Halloween decorations to a wide customer base. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Family-Friendly Halloween Essentials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oriental-trading.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Dinosaur-Inspired Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chiasaurus-rex-planter.md) - [Disco-Inspired Hanging Planter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco-ball-plant-hanger.md) - [Fashionable Zombie Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombaes-critter-chaos.md) - [Halloween-Ready Animatronic Line-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/halloween-animatronics.md) - [Spooky Life-Size Animatronics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beetlejuice-character.md) - [Creepy Severed Hand Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wednesday-thing.md) - [Spellbinding Collectible Plushies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2025-halloween-plushies.md)
