The drink is also the chain's first co-created smoothie flavor with The Coca-Cola Company, turning the soda's citrus profile into a chilled orange blend topped with popping boba. [Fanta Orange-flavored syrup](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fanta-sodas) keeps the taste familiar, while [purple vanilla-flavored popping boba](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boba-lemonades) adds a candy-like burst and extra texture as you sip. That pairing makes each sip feel more playful through the straw. In hand, it reads like a Halloween treat before the first sip, since Tropical Smoothie Cafe is using its first clear smoothie cup to showcase the orange drink and purple boba. Guests can also add the same boba to any smoothie. It starts on October 7 at participating [Tropical Smoothie Cafe restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tropical-smoothie-cafe-mermaid-style) for a limited run.
