# Samurai Robot Waiters The Dancing Robot Warriors at the Hajime Restaurant Aim to Please By Michael Hines | Published 2010-04-03 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hajime-restaurant References: [djmick](http://www.djmick.co.uk/travel/hajime-japanese-robot-restaurant-bangkok-pictures-and-video/) I need a one-way ticket to Bangkok--not for a new organ or *that*--to go eat at the Hajime Restaurant. This restaurant is staffed by robot waiters. Ordinarily, that's no big deal, but these robot waiters are dressed as [samurais](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samurai-menu), and they dance. I'm a sucker for a good gimmick, and the Hajime Restaurant has the best one I've ever seen. The staff is all robotic, you order your meal from a touch screen, and the robots sporadically dance to entertain you. I need my ticket to Thailand now. The Hajime Restaurant awaits. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [AI](https://www.trendhunter.com/ai) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Robot Waiters:** The implementation of robot waiters in restaurants presents an opportunity for automation and improved customer experience. - **Samurai Robots:** The use of samurai-themed robots as waiters adds an element of novelty and entertainment to the dining experience. - **Robot Entertainment:** The incorporation of dancing robots in restaurants creates a unique and memorable interaction between robots and customers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can adopt robot waiters to streamline operations and create a futuristic dining ambiance. - **Robotics:** The robotics industry can explore the development of specialized samurai-themed robots for various applications, including the service sector. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can leverage the concept of dancing robots to enhance live performances and provide interactive experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transforming Robot Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformers-the-ark.md) - [Humanoid Robot Chefs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robbyant-r1.md) - [Robotic Restaurant Support Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robotlab-automated-systems.md) - [Automated Kitchen Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circusos.md) - [Automated Restaurant Waiters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellabot-waiters.md) - [Contactless Robot Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beijing-winter-games-restaurant.md) - [Fully Autonomous AI Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caliexpress-by-flippy.md) - [AI Burger-Making Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alpha-grill.md) - [Robot-Operated Pizza Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hyperrobotics.md)
