# Armed Key Accessories Shoot Your Way to Safety with the Oh-So-Threatening Gun Key Holder By Elise Ying-Hei Ho | Published 2012-09-30 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gun-key-holder References: [incrediblethings](http://www.incrediblethings.com/style-and-gear/bang-bang-open-up-gun-shaped-key-covers/) & [thisiswhyimbroke](http://www.thisiswhyimbroke.com/pistol-shaped-key-cover) This gun key holder is a great way to scare someone off -- for a few seconds anyway. Often, it's late at night and you're walking home alone, but you think someone's following you. What do you do? You start walking faster and faster so you can get to your door. You rummage for your keys in that massive purse of yours and scramble to stick the key into the hole. Why is it always so much more difficult when you're in a rush? You whip out your teeny tiny puny little pistol and flash it at the threatening stalker. Well, not really, but even if this this cute little weapon can't save you from someone who's threatening to rob you, it is a great way to camouflage your key. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Personal Safety Accessories:** Opportunity to develop innovative products that blend personal safety and everyday items. - **Disguised Security Solutions:** Potential for creating hidden and inconspicuous security products for enhanced protection. - **Novelty Self-defense Gadgets:** Market demand exists for unique and unconventional self-defense gadgets that appeal to a wider consumer base. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Security:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in developing discreet security solutions for homes and apartments. - **Personal Safety Products:** Opportunity to create unconventional and disguised personal safety products for individuals concerned about personal security. - **Fashion Accessories:** Innovations in personal safety incorporated into fashionable accessories like key holders can attract a new segment of consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Micro Keychain EDC Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinyblade.md) - [Compact Key Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniki.md) - [Titanium Key-Inspired Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edc-monster-keymaster.md) - [Smart Home Security Fobs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arlo-security-tag.md) - [Pocket-Sized Safety Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaze.md) - [Connected Personal Safety Alarms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pom-safe.md) - [Antitheft Car Key Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/car-key-faraday-shield.md) - [Keychain-Friendly Utility Knives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/palmer-utility-knife.md) - [Biometric Firearm Smart Safes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-gun-safe.md)
