# Sweet Peacock Murals Gummy Stained Glass by Judith G. Klausner is Made Out of Candy By Meghan Young | Published 2014-02-04 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gummy-stained-glass References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2014/02/03/A-Peacock-Made-of-Candy) & [jgklausner](http://jgklausner.com/) The Gummy Stained Glass may look like a typical [stained glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition) mural, but it isn't one at all. Instead, it has been made entirely out of candy including [gummy candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stuffed-puffs-gummy-fuzions) and licorice chewing gum, with a little help from some plexiglass for structure, of course. Taking on the stunning visage of a peacock on a tree branch, the Gummy Stained Glass is stunning to behold. Created by Judith G. Klausner, the Massachusetts-based artist who brought the world other deceptive creations including [Toast Embroidery](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toast-embroidery) and the [Cereal Sampler Series](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cereal-sampler), the Gummy Stained Glass solidifies the fact that she's one who didn't take one of the most common pieces of advice from mothers: Don't play with your food. It's a good thing she didn't. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Edible Art:** Using food as a medium for creating artistic pieces that can be both aesthetically pleasing and consumable. - **Interactive Food Making and Decorating Activities:** Creating interactive food making and decorating activities that provide an entertaining and creative experience. - **Candy-based Structures:** Using candy as a construction material for structures. ### Where This Applies - **Food and Beverage:** Incorporating artistic and interactive presentation and consumption of food and beverages. - **Arts and Crafts:** Integrating food and candy-based materials in arts and crafts activities for all ages. - **Architecture and Design:** Exploring alternative and unusual materials for structural designs, such as candy and edible art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Confectionary Graffiti Murals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jolly-rancher-gummie.md) - [Street Art-Style Gummy Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jolly-rancher-gummies.md) - [Record-Breaking Gummy Mosaics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gummy-candy-mosaic.md) - [Bubblegum Street Art Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hubbabubbabuilding.md) - [Gummy Candy-Inspired Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jelly-collection.md) - [Rule-Breaking Gummy Bears](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vandal-gummy-bears.md) - [Candy-Like Glossy Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luis-gimeno.md) - [Crystal-Adorned Crushed Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sam-keller.md) - [Crystal Seaweed Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/misaky-tokyo.md)
