# Frozen Waterfall Photography Photographer Guillermo Palavecino Captured Images of Icy Liquids By Jordy E | Published 2014-12-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guillermo-palavecino References: [palavecino](http://www.palavecino.com/) & [palavecino](http://www.palavecino.com/) Photographer Guillermo Palavecino has captured the beauty of [wintertime imagery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-city-of-harbin). The Argentina-based artist took shots of an entirely [frozen warerfall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ellipsis-cafe-bar) in Bariloche, Patagonia, taking in the giant freezing cold 20 meter display in all of its grandeur. Surrounding the waterfall are bits of ice, making it appear as if the natural phenomenon is still operational. By setting a long exposure, Pavalecino was able to take in the breathtaking scene, one that is certainly reminiscent of a chapter in a science fiction novel. Whether showcased in [color or black and white](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/profiles-in-color), the awe-inspiring power of Palvacino's photography, and the landscape itself, is instantly apparent. The trees encasing the waterfall are similarly mystifying, a product of the red and orange pigments that remain despite the cold temperatures. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/customization) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Winter Landscape Photography:** Explore the vast opportunities of showcasing winter scenes, frozen objects, and natural phenomena through photography. - **Long Exposure Photography:** Utilize long exposure shots to beautifully capture the movement and stillness of icy liquids and frozen objects. - **Color Enhancement Photography:** Enhance the vibrancy and colors of winter landscapes and frozen objects using color enhancement techniques in photography. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography Equipment:** Manufacture and distribute specialized photography equipment for capturing winter landscapes, frozen objects, and natural phenomena. - **Tourism:** Promote tourism in winter destinations by showcasing the natural winter landscapes through photography. - **Home Decor:** Showcase the beauty of winter and icy landscapes by producing and selling home decor items featuring winter photography. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Peace-Inspired Waterfall Installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transposition-installtion.md) - [Waterfall-inspired Stamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stamp-design.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Water-Inspired Sales Building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cifi-group.md) - [Ice Block-Formed Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/falling-hours.md) - [Cold Weather Photography Gloves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pgytech-photography-gloves.md) - [Mesmerizing Fluid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-fountain.md) - [Photographer-Approved Field Jackets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shackleton-x-leica-frank-hurley-field-jacket.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md)
