# Extreme Suspended Jacuzzis The Gueuroz Bridge Hot Tub Hung Almost 200 Meters Up By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-10-05 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gueuroz-bridge-hot-tub References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2011/10/suspending-a-ho.php) & [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5846300/crazy-swiss-swingers-suspend-hot-tub-from-bridge/gallery/1) The usual risks of jacuzzi usage are drink spilling and furtive urination by the guy sitting next to you, but this Gueuroz [Bridge](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fw-ji-covered-bridge-on-aqueduct) hot tub takes [recreational soaking](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zion-canyon-hot-springs) to new heights -- literally. A group of risk-taking bathers in Switzerland constructed their very own 15-seater [tarp-lined barrel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope) and suspended it from a gorge-spanning viaduct 613 feet above rough terrain. But as you'd correctly assume, taking the plunge in mid-air is not quite as straightforward as slipping into a jacuzzi on solid ground. Each swimmer thankfully appears to be clipped into a harness, paired rather comically with a helmet. Not remotely a recommended activity for the faint of heart, taking a dip in this Gueuroz Bridge hot tub looks to be the sort of attraction exclusively for bungee jumpers and abseilers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Extreme Recreational Activities:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new and thrilling extreme recreational activities that push the boundaries of traditional leisure experiences. - **Adrenaline Tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create adrenaline-filled tourism experiences that cater to thrill-seekers seeking unique and daring adventures. - **Unconventional Relaxation Experiences:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design unconventional relaxation experiences that combine relaxation with unconventional settings to attract adventurous individuals. ### Who This Affects Most - **Tourism and Leisure:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Transform the tourism and leisure industry by offering extreme and unconventional experiences that cater to adventure-seeking travelers. - **Recreational Equipment Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new and specialized recreational equipment tailored for extreme activities such as suspended hot tubs. - **Adventure Tourism Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Provide adventure tourism services that offer unique and daring experiences such as suspended jacuzzis for thrill-seeking individuals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hot Tub Boats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacruzzi.md) - [Inflatable Campsite Hot Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joolca-hottub.md) - [Sight-Seeing Hot Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chicago-electric-boat-company.md) - [Rustic Fire-Powered Hot Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodfired-hot-tub.md) - [Inflatable Cold Plunge Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plunge-evolve-series.md) - [Off-Grid Wooden Hot Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodfired-hot-tubs.md) - [Portable Cold Plunge Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cold-plunge-tub.md) - [Asymmetrical Ultra-Compact Pools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faraway-pool.md) - [Tranquil Suspended Hanging Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ardh-architect.md)
