Each [bamboo case](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-of-cases) is laser engraved with a [tribal-esque design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gothic-revival); Wan has provided a time-lapse video of the creation of these iPhone cases, which I've embedded above. Naturally, the Grove iPhone 3G Case by Jonny Wan will be available for the iPhone 4; pre-orders for that case can be placed at the Grove link provided. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Personalized Phone Cases:** Etching unique designs or patterns on phone protectors for personalization. - **Eco-friendly Phone Cases:** Creating phone cases using sustainable materials such as bamboo or recycled plastics. - **Artisan Phone Case Designs:** Turning phone cases into artistic creations with the help of skilled craftsmen. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Integrating personalization options or eco-friendly materials in phone cases and other accessories. - **Fashion and Accessories:** Expanding the range of artisanal phone case designs to cater to fashion-conscious consumers. - **Print and Design:** Offering etching and printing services for personalized phone cases. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Japanese Geta-Inspired Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bailey-hikawa.md) - [Spring-Inspired Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spring-phone-case.md) - [Chic Skeletal Smartphone Protectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dango-adapt-iphone-case.md) - [Compostable Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecoblvd-mojave-collection.md) - [High-Tech Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-case-30.md) - [Recycled Material Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/native-union-reclear-case.md) - [Floral-Themed Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floralthemed-phone-cases.md) - [Festive Phone Case Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kevlar-case.md) - [Sustainable Tactile Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/native-union-reclassic-case.md)
