It was created for the purpose of letting people who are disabled use touchscreens. The design of the stylus focuses especially on balance created through mouth movements, as well as reduced discomfort for the user. The stylus is made from "a food-grade stainless steel mouthpiece, BPA- and latex-free silicone rubber mouthpiece sleeves, a conductive silicone rubber tip, and an [adjustable aluminum gooseneck shaft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handwriting-tool)," explains Springwise. The idea of allowing [those with disabilities use technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onehanded-controller) with ease is not often taken into consideration. My hope for this device is for it to set an example and inspire others to create gadgets that addresses this market. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Assistive Styluses:** Opportunity to develop more styluses that cater to the needs of disabled individuals who use touchscreens. - **Disability-friendly Gadgets:** There is an opportunity for companies to create more disability-friendly gadgets and devices that would make technology more accessible to people with physical impairments. - **Inclusive Technology Design:** Companies can prioritize inclusive design in technology products to cater to the needs of disabled individuals. ### Who This Affects Most - **Assistive Technology:** The assistive technology industry can create more products that cater to the needs of people with disabilities. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics manufacturers can create more accessibility-focused products that cater to customers with disabilities. - **Healthcare Technology:** Healthcare technology companies can create more assistive tech products that would help disabled individuals to access smart devices without difficulty. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wireless Tongue-Operated Trackpads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-tongueoperated-trackpad.md) - [Smart Health-Monitoring Mouthpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mouthio.md) - [Antimicrobial Tablet Styluses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antimicrobial-active-stylus-for-ipad.md) - [Magnetic Wirelessly Charged Stylus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-stylus-2.md) - [Self-Stabilizing Mouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stilt-mouse.md) - [Education-Focused Styluses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-pen.md) - [Colorful Tech Stylus Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crayon-pro.md) - [Virtual MR Headset Styluses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-mx-ink-mixed-reality-stylus.md) - [Unified Control Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-id360-touchstone.md)
