# Modular Speaker Sculptures The GRID Modular Sound System Positions Audio Hardware as Modern Art By Amy Duong | Published 2025-08-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-modular-sound References: [instagram](https://www.instagram.com/grid_soundwall/) The [GRID](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-desk-organizer) [modular sound system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mynd-speaker) reimagines home audio by transforming speakers into a [sculptural centerpiece that doubles as furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibryx). Created by designer Asaf Beiman, the system is built from aluminum tiles connected by vertical supports, forming a grid that can extend floor-to-ceiling or mount to walls. Its modular design allows users to configure arrangements for both sound performance and visual presence, recalling the personality of mid-century stereo consoles while introducing a distinctly contemporary character. Each tile contributes to the acoustic landscape, with geometric volumes that shape resonance while adding rhythm to the structure. The result is both functional and expressive, turning passive equipment into an active design feature. By merging audio technology with architectural form, GRID creates a living system where storage, sound, and sculpture coexist seamlessly, inviting homeowners to treat music as an element of interior art.
