This medium voltage addition to a grid control center, designed by Architekturbüro Steidl in Germany, was built in only five months due to the fact that it is [constructed from wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fukushima-united).

The black building with large windows and bright yellow accents seems to resemble a bumble bee. The [wooden elements were created beforehand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prefab-house-changeover) instead of on-site, which cut down extensively on construction time. The grid control center features several [solar panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florian-busch-architects) outside and a panorama view on the inside of the building. The building, although somewhat lurid, is a further step towards positive eco-friendly urban planning practices and implementations that seek to benefit the environment.

This grid control center, designed to control the power supply in parts of Bavaria, is a unique piece of architecture that promotes the use of solar energy.
