The clever system is quite simple. Envirosink is basically a [small, secondary sink](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen) that uses standard plumbing fittings to route light grey water into a holding vessel. The captured water can then be used for watering plants or [flushing toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/living-on-groundwater) or other non-potable purposes. The fixture can be installed in all new kitchens or retrofitted. It is easily removed for cleaning and is dishwasher safe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Grey Water Recycling:** Grey water recycling technologies can disrupt traditional water management and conservation practices. - **Home Water Conservation:** Innovative home water conservation technologies such as Envirosink can help reduce water waste and promote sustainability. - **Sustainable Plumbing:** Sustainable plumbing systems and fixtures such as Envirosink can revolutionize how water is used and recycled in households. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Plumbing:** The plumbing industry can benefit from producing sustainable and innovative fixtures like Envirosink. - **Home Improvement:** Home improvement companies can offer Envirosink as part of their eco-friendly product portfolio. - **Agriculture:** Grey water recycling systems like Envirosink can provide an alternative water source for irrigation in the agriculture industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Closed-Loop Bathing Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfall-shower.md) - [Outdoor Water Sink Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waterworks.md) - [Electric Food Recyclers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foodcycler-eco-3.md) - [Water-Recycling Robot Vacuums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s10-ultra-robot-vacuum.md) - [Elegant Kitchen Sink Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchen-sink-system.md) - [Stainless Steel Sustainable Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/posco.md) - [Electricity-Free Microfiber Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planetcare-20.md) - [Drinking Water Home Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atmospheric.md) - [Microplastic Washing Machine Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washing-machine-filter.md)
