The Green Mailbox is a wonderful little creation that's friendly to greenery. The left side has a little shelf that will allow space for one [little potted plant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trader-joes-mini-can-foliage). The cool part is that the roof has a folded "v" design that will allow rainwater to run off and irrigate the plant on cloudier days. Aside from this creative feature, it's a [standard mailbox design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/royal-mail-solar-postboxes) with a slot for the mail, a front panel that opens up for mail. The Green Mailbox is a smart, creative concept that's perfect for any household looking for one additional space for their plants. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Innovative Mailbox Designs:** Opportunity to create unique mailboxes that incorporate functional and aesthetic features, such as space for plants. - **Urban Greening:** Growing trend of incorporating green spaces in urban environments, including using mailboxes as a platform for plants. - **Sustainable Irrigation Solutions:** Demand for rainwater collection and utilization systems, like the self-irrigating design of the Green Mailbox. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Market for innovative home decor products that combine functionality and aesthetics, like the Green Mailbox. - **Gardening and Landscaping:** Opportunity for landscape design businesses to offer unique, plant-friendly mailbox designs as part of their services. - **Water Management:** Rise in demand for sustainable water management solutions, including collection and efficient use of rainwater. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Indoor Gardening Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gud-plant-box.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-watering-plant-house.md) - [Plantable Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igreen-cover.md) - [Durable Modern Mailboxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonlocking-mailbox.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Chic Self-Watering Garden Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glowpear-mini-bench.md) - [Rainwater Multifunctional Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raindrop-1.md) - [Monitor-Mounted Vine Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monitree.md) - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Digital Interaction Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planta-planter.md)
