Typically, the most popular type of green ice cream that is available to consumers is mint chip but Van Leeuwen is introducing a special Vegan Green Planet matcha ice cream just in time for Earth Month.

In collaboration with MatchaBar, Van Leeuwen is releasing what it calls "an inside-out take on our Vegan Planet Earth featuring [vegan matcha ice cream](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kit-kat-thailand)." The ice cream itself is made with a base of raw cashew milk, coconut cream, raw organic coconut oil, pure cocoa butter and organic cane sugar, plus MatchaBar’s ceremonial-grade matcha green tea and pieces of housemade blue spirulina almond cake.

As part of its spring menu, Van Leeuwen is also introducing a few other new flavors, including another vegan-friendly option in the form of its gluten-free Vegan [PB&J Bon Bon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pbj-cookie).
