A 40-meter high graphic mural covers the facade of a 20th-century building in Brooklyn -- the site of a [WantedDesign](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eps-expanded-polystyrene-serie) exhibition. The creative activity is a result of the ongoing NYCxDesign Festival in May but will remain a permanent feature of Brooklyn's urban scene thereafter. British Artist Camille Walala decorates the historic structure with, what Dezeen calls, a "[colorful Memphis-style graphic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/what-are-you-looking-at)." The reason for this can be found in the direct cues her work takes from a location-specific design movement from the 80s that incorporates "trompe l'oeil visual trickery."

The boldly vibrant colors and the geometric shapes capture and hold the attention of passers-by. Camille Walala was commissioned by WantedDesign and her graphic mural breathes a new life to the seven-storey Brooklyn building.
