Of course, if you've been following Trend Hunter lately, you would already know this. The [granny phase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ki-by-kathy-ireland) is going strong in regards to [home decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-interior-accents), from knitted stools to lighting, and now we can add doily mantles to the list. Designed by Beerd van Stokkum, the Granny wall shelf is beautifully nostalgic. According to [Yanko Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture), "It comes in black or white, finished with a finely structured UV proof powder coating. It’s got a lightly grained feel and a deep matt look." At least you know it won't yellow with age. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Granny Chic Decor:** The resurgence of nostalgic and traditional home decor styles that mix modern with vintage, offering opportunities for businesses to create products and services that cater to this aesthetic. - **Doily Appreciation:** The renewed appreciation of doilies as an element in home decor, opening up opportunities for businesses to design and sell furniture and accessories that incorporate this and other vintage textiles. - **Revival of Traditional Crafts:** The revival of traditional crafts and the incorporation of handmade elements into design, leading to opportunities for craftsmen and artisans to create and sell handmade home decor items. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can leverage Granny Chic and Doily Appreciation trends by introducing product lines that include traditional and vintage elements that cater to modern tastes. - **Furniture:** Furniture designers and manufacturers can tap into the Granny Chic trend by creating furniture that combines vintage details with modern materials, finishes, and functionality. - **Textile and Crafts:** The textile and crafts industries have opportunities to create and supply handmade and vintage-inspired decorative items, such as doilies, embroidery, lace, knitting, and crocheting, that can be incorporated into home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mounted Colorful Shelving Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledge-shelf.md) - [Removable Plate Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gere-multifunctional-crockery-shelf.md) - [Discreet Folding Shelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-shelf.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Versatile Modern Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utility-shelf.md) - [Clock-Accented Shelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omega-shelf.md) - [Revived Celebrated Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytillverkad-vintage-collection.md) - [Classic Retro Shelving Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pira-g2.md) - [60s Vintage-Tinged Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytillverkad-collection.md)
