If you love the hotels of Ian Schrager and you have a penchant for impressive light fittings and/or art, then the next time you're in NYC make sure you book a night or three at the Gramercy Park Hotel to check out the new [roof club and garden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louix-louis-sky-garden).

**Implications** - Known for his avant-guarde designs, Ian Schrager has proven to have a fine eye for [hotel interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/claridges-hotel). The [private terrace located on the roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/w-torontos-skylight) of the Gramercy Park Hotel is ultra exclusive and to get up there, you have to be a guest of the hotel. If that doesn't give you more of a reason to stay at the Gramercy, I don't know what will! The subtle setting and Renaissance feel is definitely worth seeing.
