For the new functional collection, the Japanese outerwear brand opted to use the most advanced waterproof, breathable membranes -- GORE-TEX -- to ensure that its products could handle extreme climates. The collection consists of three new GORE-TEX styles, including the rugged GORE-TEX Pro shell jacket and pants, the agile GORE-TEX Fly Air jacket and pullover, and a high-loft down jacket GORE-TEX INFINIUM Down [Parka](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pieces-for-rainy-days). In order to capture the quality of its new offerings, Goldwin conducted a photo shoot in the mountains of Nagano in Japan, which showcased actual skiers and climbers dressed in the latest gear.
