Notable changes to the display include date displays being presented in the lower-left corner. The weather section now also includes a temperature reading, the conditions, and a high and low of the day. Also featured in the Google Homescreen redesign is that when users touch the screen the background becomes blurry and the user is presented with a Googel News top stories card. The Google news card is the system's default card, which means booked calendar events or media can replace it.
