[Volkswagen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-golf-gti) likes to make fast functional cars and, with the premiere of their Golf R20, they are keeping up with that trend. Visually speaking, it looks a lot like other Volkswagen cars, however, under the hood it is a completely different car.

According to Topgear.com the Golf R20 has a 266bhp 2.0 litre turbo engine that will “propel the four-wheel-drive Golf to 62mph in 5.5 seconds if you spec the DSG transmission, or 0.2 seconds slower if you’d prefer a [manual box](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venom-f5m).”

Meanwhile the exterior features LED running light, and new front and rear bumpers. The Golf R20 will be an [exclusive sell at first](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alpine-a110-r-ultime), so don’t expect to see too many on the road just yet.
