# Vintage iDevice Drivers The Wooden Golf Club iPhone Dock is a Sporting Throwback from the 1930s By Michael Hines | Published 2012-05-28 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/golf-club-iphone-dock References: [designbuzz](http://www.designbuzz.com/wooden-golf-club-iphone-dock-how-destroy-valuable-golf-club-iphone.html) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/99681483/vintage-wooden-golf-club-iphone-dock) After you see this Vintage Wooden Golf Club iPhone Dock, you'll no longer stay up late at night wondering how Tiger Woods charges his phone. This sporting dock is made from a genuine Butchart 4 [wooden golf club](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victor-wood-master) from the 1930s. Golf clubs weren't always made out of aluminum. The Golf Club iPhone Dock is handcrafted by [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/create-a-wedding-registry) merchant Rock Apple Wood, and comes complete with a 6-foot USB cord. The only knock against this dock is its size; it isn't nearly as long as a real golf club, but that's probably better. If you count yourself as a true fan of the game of the golf, then it's time to consider ditching your old iPhone charger in favor of one a little more sporty. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Vintage Tech Accessories:** Handmade, vintage-style tech accessories that incorporate old-fashioned materials and designs. - **Sport-inspired Phone Docks:** Phone docks modeled after sporting equipment or other leisurely pursuits. - **Etsy Handmade Products:** Handmade products sold on Etsy with a focus on unique and creative designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **E-commerce:** E-commerce businesses can partner with handmade product creators on sites like Etsy to offer unique and creative products to their customers. - **Sports Merchandise:** Sports merchandise companies can create phone docks modeled after sporting equipment to sell to fans and athletes alike. - **Home Decor:** Home decor businesses can offer vintage-style tech accessories to complement a home's aesthetic and offer a unique touch. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Timber Technology Power Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-charging-station.md) - [Computer-Inspired Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/g4-charger.md) - [Millennium Gamer Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-ws-m5-charging-stand.md) - [Timber Clamp-Equipped Smartphone Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-desk-shelf-mount.md) - [Timber Smartwatch Charging Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charging-apple-watch-stand.md) - [Luxe Triple-Device Charging Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-hirise-3-deluxe.md) - [Retro Computer Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-m4-charging-stand.md) - [Contemporary Magnetic Device Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magsafe-charger-stand.md) - [Miniature Multifunctional Docking Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raycue-128k.md)
