The Golden-i Headset, presented by Kopin, is a professional-grade product meant for military purposes, but versatile and adaptive to such atmospheres as factories, hospitals and more. In fields where both hands are required for work, it’s necessary to have a device that allows for data sharing and research without the interruption of processes. For example, a nurse or surgeon could be in the middle of a procedure, and simply activate video streaming or communicate with others involved in the situation. The hands-free aspect is a safe way to incorporate complex technology into fast-moving atmospheres. The headset works through wireless Cloud technology. The CES 2012 website describes the headset as, "a game changing mobile computing product for improving the safety, productivity, and efficiency of the global workforce." Teaming with Motorola Solution to bring this face-scanning networking technology, the Golden-i Headset is destined to be a favorite at the CES 2012. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Remote Expertise:** The Golden-i Headset allows for remote video expertise with HD streaming, creating opportunities for virtual collaboration and assistance. - **Hands-free Technology:** The headset's hands-free functionality opens up possibilities for professionals in industries where both hands are required, enabling them to access information and communicate without interruption. - **Wireless Cloud Technology:** The Golden-i Headset's use of wireless Cloud technology revolutionizes the way professionals can access and share data, enhancing productivity and efficiency. ### Who This Affects Most - **Medical:** The Golden-i Headset can be used in hospitals and surgical environments, allowing healthcare professionals to stream videos or communicate while keeping both hands free. - **Manufacturing:** In manufacturing settings, the Golden-i Headset enables workers to access data and collaborate without needing to stop or use their hands, increasing productivity and worker safety. - **Military:** With its professional-grade capabilities, the Golden-i Headset is suitable for military applications, aiding soldiers in hands-free communication, data sharing, and remote expertise. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Technical Enterprise-Ready AR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/helmet-ar-headset.md) - [Productivity-Focused Smart Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-airvision-m1.md) - [Mixed Reality Headset Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/play-for-dream.md) - [Ai Smartglasses Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-ai-glasses-concept.md) - [Protective Mixed Reality Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thirdeye-gen-mr-x2.md) - [Dual-Camera AR Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superhexa-vision.md) - [Digital Professional VR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-vr-headset.md) - [Smart Safety Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smarthat.md) - [Collaborative Professional AR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/almer-arc-2.md)
