With the rise in pet-friendly hotels, workspaces and attractions, Sleepypod identified a way to better serve pet parents who desire simple, organized ways of getting around with a companion. As Michael Leung, Sleepypod co-founder and lead product designer, describes: "traveling with a pet is not as easy as grabbing a leash before heading into a car or onto an airplane." Sleepypod's Go Bag can be worn as a [cross-body satchel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydration-crossbody) or carried with its handle. Two mini packing cubes and an insulated pouch make it easy for pets meals to be arranged. Additionally, the [pet-friendly travel bag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/refresh-mist) system also includes pockets for easily accessing important items, as well as an interior padded compartment and pocket for precious documents or pieces of technology. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Pet Travel Accessories:** As pet-friendly workplaces, hotels, and attractions continue to rise in popularity, there is a growing demand for pet travel accessories that simplify the process of traveling with a pet. - **Multi-purpose Bags:** The Sleepypod Go Bag, which boasts both pet-friendly and human-friendly compartments, is an example of a multi-purpose bag that caters to the needs of both pet owners and travelers. - **Organization Solutions:** Given the complexities of pet transportation, there is a strong market for organizing and simplifying the travel experience, as exemplified by the Sleepypod Go Bag's built-in compartments and insulated pouches for arranging pet meals. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Pet Supplies:** The growing trend of pet-friendly travel presents an opportunity for pet supply companies and retailers to offer innovative travel accessories designed to meet the needs of pet owners on the go. - **Travel and Tourism:** As the demand for pet-friendly travel options continues to grow, companies in the travel and tourism industry can disrupt the market by offering pet-specific services or amenities that cater to this customer segment. - **Fashion and Accessories:** Multi-purpose bags that cater to both pet and human needs, such as the Sleepypod Go Bag, represent a disruptive innovation opportunity for companies in the fashion and accessories industry to create stylish, versatile products that meet the needs of pet owners and travelers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet-Friendly Travel Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petfriendly-carryon-suitcase.md) - [Stylish Multi-Functional Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-carrier.md) - [Small Pet Carrier Enclosures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fenced-traveling-backpack.md) - [Portable Pet Shelter Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-habitat.md) - [Dual-Purpose Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burrow-pet-carrier.md) - [Stool-Equipped Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guacal-pet-carrier.md) - [Multi-Functional Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-beds.md) - [Three-in-One Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-bed-design.md) - [Stabilized Dog Hiking Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hiking-backpack.md)
