# Compartmentalized Ratchet Screwdrivers The 'GLEDE' Screwdriver has Built-In Storage for its Bits By Colin Smith | Published 2023-04-25 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glede-screwdriver References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/367235849/built-in-storage-bin-multi-function-ratchet-screwdriver?utm_source=www.youtube.com&utm_medium=kickbooster&utm_content=link&utm_campaign=ece9fe05&ref=at6wv3) 'GLEDE,' a Shenzhen, China-based DIY enthusiast company, launched a new crowdfunding campaign for its compartmentalized ratchet screwdriver on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ratchet-screwdriver). This is a 16-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver, which means it has 16 different [swappable bits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eyeq-switchdisc) for different use cases. Additionally, it features a [ratcheting mechanism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/titaner-edc-ratchet-system) which allows the device to only operate when rotated in one direction, allowing the user to tighten - or loosen - a screw without needing to constantly lift the driver off of the screw. The compartment for the bits is located at the back of the screwdriver. The top of the handle slides out to reveal a circular compartment with bits magnetically attached around the entire body of the screwdriver. In terms of the build quality, the GLEDE has an oxidized surface treatment that makes it resistant to water, dust, and other common debris found in working conditions.
