# Blown Glass Wall Hooks The Decorative Aarre Wall Jewels Provide a Beautiful Way to Hang Items By Cadhla Gray | Published 2015-11-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-wall-hooks References: [betterlivingthroughdesign](http://www.betterlivingthroughdesign.com/accessories/aarre-wall-jewels/) & [scandinaviangrace](http://www.scandinaviangrace.com/shop/aarre) These decorative glass wall hooks are made from mouth blown glass and come in a unique array of beautiful translucent colors and patterns. Providing a collection of decorative wall art as well as a functional way to hang things up, the jewels can be used individually or in a stylized grouping. Handcrafted by skilled Iittala artisans, the pieces are a tribute to Professor Oiva Toikka -- the master of Finnish glass. The master himself mentored and monitored the designers who each worked on their own individual piece. The romantic and whimsical glass wall hooks are delicate objects not to be used for heavy or bulky things, but rather showcased by hanging other lovely pieces like an important camera or intricate handbag. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Decorative Glass Wall Hooks:** Opportunity for creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing functional decor items. - **Mouth Blown Glass:** Opportunity for showcasing artisanal craftsmanship in glass making. - **Stylized Grouping:** Opportunity for creating unique and customizable wall art arrangements. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Innovative decorative items for enhancing interior design. - **Artisanal Glass Making:** Reviving traditional craftmanship in the glass making industry. - **Interior Design:** Customizable and visually appealing wall art arrangements to enhance living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bright Whimsical Home Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-balcony.md) - [Smiley Clothing Wall Hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/itsahook.md) - [Candy-Colored Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-ii.md) - [Jewelry-Like Handbag Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-hook-options.md) - [Geometric Outdoor Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-glass-wind-chime.md) - [Artisanal Artful Glass Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kaanch-glass-series.md) - [Sea-Inspired Mini Sculpture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures.md) - [Whimsical Ceramic Shower Hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-shower-hook.md) - [Retro Jelly Mold-Inspired Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jelly-mirror.md)
