# Perpetually Full Wine Glasses The Glass Tank Wine Dispenser by Kouichi Okamoto By Elsa Blaine | Published 2009-05-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-tank-wine-carafe References: [thegreenhead](http://www.thegreenhead.com/2009/05/glass-tank-wine-glass.php) & [gnr8.biz](http://www.gnr8.biz/product_info.php?products_id=1015) The Glass Tank drinking vessel by Kouichi Okamoto eliminates the need to get up to refill your glass. The inverted teardrop-shaped reservoir holds an evening’s worth of vino and has a goblet built into the side. Combined air pressure and water pressure allow just enough wine to flow into the glass, resulting in a continuous refill. Imagine a dinner party table set with an individual Glass Tank at each place setting! You have to admit the $329 ultra-stylish carafe is much more elegant than potential alternatives like the box sitting at the edge of the table or worse, a pitcher and a straw! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Continuous Refill:** The Glass Tank's continuous refill design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for beverage dispensing systems, creating a seamless and convenient drinking experience. - **Effortless Entertaining:** The Glass Tank's elegant and stylish design offers a disruptive innovation opportunity for dinner party accessories, providing a unique and sophisticated way to serve wine. - **Automated Beverage Dispensing:** The Glass Tank's use of combined air and water pressure to dispense wine opens up a disruptive innovation opportunity for automated beverage dispensing systems, streamlining the process of serving drinks. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Beverage Dispensing Systems:** The Glass Tank's continuous refill feature offers a disruptive innovation opportunity for the beverage dispensing systems industry, revolutionizing the way drinks are served and consumed. - **Dinner Party Accessories:** The elegant and stylish design of the Glass Tank presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the dinner party accessories industry, elevating the aesthetic and functionality of wine serving. - **Automated Beverage Service:** The Glass Tank's automated beverage dispensing mechanism presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the automated beverage service industry, simplifying the process of serving drinks in various settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Extra-Large Wine Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xxl-wine.md) - [Wine-Catered Vibrant Artful Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wine-table.md) - [Wine-Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/placemat-hightop-table.md) - [Stackable Chalice Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cali.md) - [Libation-Cooling Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diamas.md) - [Hydrating Wine Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-and-wine.md) - [Unbreakable Wine Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unbreakable-wine-glass.md) - [Single-Serve Wine Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coravin-vinitas.md) - [Flavor Preservation Wine Openers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coravin-timeless-three-sl.md)
