Designed like a sculpture, the shape of the lamp is visually intriguing, with various inner prisms built by multiple triangular shapes. When lit, the lamp acts as a complex glass prism through which light shines, turning various colors and creating memorizing patterns. When off, the lamp still refracts light with its tinted glass surfaces, providing a neon pop of color in any room. The light is made from optical-grade dichroic glass, the same material that is used in some glass jewelry. In addition, the glass prism lamp uses a 3W LED light bulb which saves power, resulting in cheaper electricity bills as well as a more environmentally friendly device. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Optical-grade Glass Products:** Developing high-quality glass products for various applications, like jewelry and light fixtures, can be a source of disruptive innovation. - **Multipurpose Lighting Fixtures:** Designing lighting fixtures that not only provide high-quality light but also function as art pieces can be a disruptive innovation opportunity. - **Eco-friendly Lighting:** Creating more energy-efficient lighting solutions that are cost-effective and sustainable can be a source of disruptive innovation. ### Who This Affects Most - **Glass Manufacturing:** Innovating in the glass manufacturing industry to produce high-quality, optical-grade glass materials can revolutionize various products and industries. - **Lighting:** Developing multipurpose lighting fixtures with innovative design and functionality can disrupt the lighting industry. - **Sustainable Energy:** Creating eco-friendly lighting solutions that are energy-efficient and sustainable can disrupt the energy industry and reduce environmental impact. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colourful Ambient Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ambient-lamp-design.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Candy-Colored Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-ii.md) - [Colorful Cubic Smart Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neon-crystal.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Geometry Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp.md) - [Luxurious Futuristic Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-table-lamp.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md) - [Colorful Geometric Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-desk.md)
