This unique abode was created by London-based architectural firm [Studio RHE](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huron-house). The client's request was to Studio RHE was that the roofs of two mansions standing side-by-side be transformed into one all-glass living space. Sounds simple, right? The glass Notting Hill Penthouse is elegantly designed and packed with future technology. It features glass gullwing windows that open up and a glass elevator (it's the only way to access the penthouse from the ground floor). The gap between the two houses was bridged with a glass bridge standing two stories. Entrance to the penthouse is only granted after passing through an eye scan, courtesy of a [Panasonic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panasonic-sdpmc100) iris-identification system. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **All-glass Rooftop Abodes:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing and constructing all-glass rooftop living spaces in urban areas. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing innovative materials and techniques for creating all-glass structures in architectural design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Panoramic View Penthouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panorama-penthouse.md) - [Renovated Family-Friendly Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/covent-garden-apartment.md) - [Lush Surroundings Glass Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-house-1.md) - [Cylindrical Furnished Penthouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-park-drive.md) - [Futuristic Vibrant London Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2lg-studio-1.md) - [Bright Hillside Garden Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pigment-house.md) - [All-Glass Mesmerizing Compact Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beaufort-bushland-retreat.md) - [Underwater Pool Window Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hastingssunrise.md) - [Natural Light-Centric Timber Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huron-house.md)
