# Luxury Avian Abodes This Glass Bird House Caters to Your Feathered Friends with Expensive Taste By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-03-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-bird-house References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2015/03/18/oli-bird-house-by-nikolo-kerimov/) & [nikolokerimov](http://nikolokerimov.com/) The designer of this glass bird house does not assume that the winged creatures of your backyard have modest tastes. Instead of constructing a rustic wooden abode to hang from your tree, Nikolo Kerimov composed a high-quality habitat from some unexpected materials. Great craftsmanship was exercised in the fabrication of this enclosed bird feeder, which comprises a capsule made of clear glass as the bulk of the avian refuge. To complete the open end of the jar-like component, the designer strapped on a wooden disk with a sparrow-sized hole, complete with an external resting peg. Purely for aesthetics, this glass bird house has a dimpled copper roof, completing a lovely arboreal shelter that can be visually appreciated by all. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Luxury Bird Houses:** Opportunity to expand the bird house market by offering designer, high-quality habitats. - **Glass Design:** Innovation in bird house construction using unorthodox materials such as clear glass for fabrication. - **Aesthetics of Bird Houses:** Designers could create more visually appealing bird houses, appealing to consumers who are interested in unique yard decor. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home and Garden Retailers:** Opportunity to offer high-end bird houses as part of their product offerings. - **Interior Designers:** The unique and visually appealing design of luxury bird houses lends itself to being incorporated into the designs of indoor and outdoor spaces. - **Artists and Sculptors:** The idea of creating unique and high-end bird houses could provide creative artists with an opportunity to showcase their work in a new way. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Educational Linoleum Birdhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elvi-birdhouse.md) - [Home Exterior Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/numbird.md) - [Birdhouse-Integrated Address Signs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/our-common-house.md) - [Modernism Birdhouse Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwellings-project.md) - [Dual-Camera Birdhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdfy-nest.md) - [Birdcage-Inspired Smart Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bird-intelligent-sound-box.md) - [Sustainable Bird House Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-bird.md) - [App-Extended Smart Birdfeeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-birdfeeder.md) - [Wooden Minimal Nesting Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-boxes.md)
