Artists from Cluj Napoca have created this giant cell phone sculpture and other works of art in anticipation of the Planet Report Environmental & Film Festival. The festival is the perfect way to show off eco-friendly pieces of art. Also, since old cell phones are notorious landfill polluters it's nice to see them recycled into something creative and cool. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Eco-friendly Art:** Opportunity for artists to create unique works of art by repurposing recyclable materials. - **Upcycling:** Potential for turning old gadgets into creative and visually striking sculptures. - **Sustainable Design:** Growing demand for environmentally conscious art and products that promote sustainability. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can explore new avenues by incorporating recycled materials in their creations. - **Waste Management:** Opportunities exist for companies to specialize in recycling and upcycling electronic waste. - **Event Management:** Organizers can incorporate eco-friendly art installations as part of environmental and film festivals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Aluminum Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-1.md) - [Resurrected Used Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/project-afterlife.md) - [Recycled Waste Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gomi.md) - [Sustainable Artist Endeavors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recasetify.md) - [Interactive E-Waste Billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cash-for-trash.md) - [Cement-Made Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artifox-monument.md) - [Artistic UV-Reactive Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polychromatic-mobile-phone.md) - [Plantable Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igreen-cover.md) - [Plastic Bottle-Made Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caroline-chaptini.md)
