# Playful Ghost-Inspired Lamps The Eero Aarnio Designed Ghost Table Lamp is Cute and Festive By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2013-10-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-table References: [fancy](http://fancy.com/things/427973423658963417/Studio-Eero-Aarnio-Ghost-Table-Lamp-by-apadeco) & [studio-eero-aarnio](http://studio-eero-aarnio.com/pages/Collection/Lighting/Ghost) Conceived by Finnish designer [Eero Aarnio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/union-square), the [Ghost](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steelseries-ghost-collection) table lamp is a quirky home accessory that’s none too scary. In fact, it’s quite adorable. The Ghost table lamp would make a perfect household decoration for the Halloween season because it’s fun, and in the spirit, but not too gruesome or spooky for every day. This lamp is also pretty versatile because it’s only a playful ghost when it’s turned to one side; if you flip it to it’s other side, it’s simply an abstractly shaped lighting fixture. The lamp is also extremely durable, with a practically unbreakable shell, so don’t worry about it breaking during any lively Halloween shenanigans. Snap up this cute, ghostly lamp just in time for the Hallows Eve festivities. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Ghost-inspired Home Decor:** Opportunity for designers to create more playful, festive home decor with holiday themes. - **Versatile Lighting Fixtures:** Creating products that can be used for multiple occasions or altered in design to fit different needs. - **Durable Home Accessories:** Designing home accessories that are durable, yet fun and playful for everyday use. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to design and create ghost-inspired decor for holidays like Halloween, while also creating products that are versatile and durable. - **Lighting Fixtures:** Creating lighting fixtures that are not only functional, but also playful and versatile enough to fit different environments. - **Product Design:** Designing and creating playful yet durable home accessories that can be used for everyday decor as well as for special occasions like Halloween. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Playful Table Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toto-lamp.md) - [Whimsical Glass Bubbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peeka.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humble-lights.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Geometric Nostalgic Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handmaid-table-lamp.md) - [Gelato-Inspired Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelato-lamp.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md)
