# Phantom Lighting The Ghost Lamp is Whimsically Ethereal By Meghan Young | Published 2010-01-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-lamp References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2010/01/15/the-ghost-lamp-by-studio-durbino-lomazzi/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:) & [durbinolomazzi.it](http://www.durbinolomazzi.it/it/index.html) I’m very much drawn to [ethereal things](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass), not necessarily regarding the whole paranormal world, but beautiful, whimsical things such as this [Ghost Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-moon-elixirs). Although not necessarily to my tastes, there is something so delicate and…well…pretty about it. Designed by [Studio Durbino Lomazzi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1), the Ghost Lamp features a polyethylene stem and white polycarbonate diffuser. Spreading soft light throughout any living space, the Ghost Lamp is perfect for almost any decor theme. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Ethereal Lighting:** Opportunity for designing light fixtures that create a whimsical, other-worldly atmosphere. - **Innovative Materials:** Opportunity for exploring new materials for lighting fixtures that enhance the quality of light. - **Decorative Lighting:** Opportunity for designing lighting fixtures that complement different decor themes in a unique and elegant way. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to integrate ethereal lighting fixtures in their designs. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** Opportunity for lighting manufacturers to experiment with new materials and technologies to create unique lighting products. - **Event Planning:** Opportunity for event planners to use ethereal lighting fixtures to create a dreamy and enchanting atmosphere. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Ethereal Lunar Wall Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-piena-wall-lamp.md) - [Ethereal Space-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wormhole-table-lamp.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Halloween-Ready Dinosaur Ambience Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brachio-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md)
