The services they offer include building bikes, [repairs, maintenance, DIY maintenance workshops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-it-for-longer) and the [sale of refurbished used bicycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decathlon-autumn-buyback-bonus). But that's not all, they also train young local residents as apprentices to become self-employed bike mechanics. They note that although cycling is becoming a bigger and bigger trend in London, there is a demand for mechanics. There are just not enough! "In helping cycling to flourish, GetMoreBikes hopes to contribute to better health among Londoners, reduce carbon emissions in central London and promote safer cycling by raising the bar on the safety of the machines and the riders," writes 'arc' on their website. **Contact Information** GetMoreBikes on [Wordpress](http://getmorebikes.wordpress.com/) GetMoreBikes on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/getmorebikes) GetMoreBikes on [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/pages/GetMoreBikes/236395076469179) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) > [Social Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialbusiness) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Cycling Maintenance Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop an on-demand mobile app for bike repairs and maintenance, connecting cyclists with certified mechanics. - **Youth Apprenticeship Programs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform that connects businesses with young local residents interested in apprenticeships, thus expanding the availability of skilled workers. - **Sustainable Transportation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a subscription service for electric bicycles, making eco-friendly transportation more accessible and convenient for urban commuters. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Sustainable Transportation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a subscription service for electric bicycles, making eco-friendly transportation more accessible and convenient for urban commuters. - **Youth Employment Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create an online platform that connects businesses with young local residents interested in apprenticeships, thus expanding the availability of employment opportunities. - **Technology Solutions for Bike Maintenance:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop AI-powered diagnostic tools for bike maintenance, allowing cyclists to easily identify and fix issues without the need for professional assistance. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [E-Bike Service Websites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bkre.md) - [Eco-Friendly E-Bike Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tier.md) - [E-Bike Rental Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fully-charged.md) - [Sleek Bicycle Store Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bicycle-store.md) - [Cycling Enthusiast Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thecyclingcollective.md) - [Pre-Assembled Bike Deliveries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitzuma.md) - [Expanding City Cycle Paths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/londons-cycleway-network.md) - [Broken Bike Lock Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/people-and-places.md) - [DIY Bicycle Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-wooden-bicycle.md)
