The objects within the range are [geometric and made with concrete](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fossil-furniture). To give the illusion of a much more luxurious material, Sment adds a dark pigment to the mixture and thus, each of the Gestalt furniture has a [smooth stone-like exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morten-georgsen). The technique used to produce this effect is quite curious as the company "investigated several ways of using [the] pigment." The material is not the only thing that captures attention, however. The studio produces three distinct designs — a tall, cylindrical lamp, an arched seat and a low-rise, ring-shaped table. Each token in the Gestalt furniture collection bears an interesting, [sculptural shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightness-of-form) that adds an aura of abstractionism to the piece. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Pigmented Concrete Furniture:** The use of dark pigment in concrete furniture opens up opportunities for creating luxurious and stone-like designs. - **Geometric Design:** The emphasis on geometric shapes in furniture design offers opportunities for creating visually engaging and abstract pieces. - **Material Innovation:** Exploring different methods of incorporating pigment into materials leads to innovative and captivating design possibilities. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can leverage pigmented concrete and geometric design to create unique and visually striking pieces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate pigmented concrete furniture and geometric shapes to add abstract and modern elements into spaces. - **Construction and Architecture:** The construction and architecture industry can explore the use of pigmented concrete in building materials and decorative elements to create visually appealing structures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glass Geometry Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-collection.md) - [Playful Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co.md) - [Concrete Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora.md) - [Metal-Centric Playful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sight-unseen-1.md) - [Sculptural Monochromatic Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monochromatic-stool.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tivoli-collection.md) - [Tile-Clad Colorful Blocky Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reglow.md) - [Bright Colorful Structural Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels.md) - [Geologically Fluid Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-geology-table-collection.md)
