Sultry in all black and white, the Gertrud Hegelund Vogue Japan editorial for the December 2012 issue is simply stunning.
Shot by the talented Victor Demarchelier, the photoshoot features Gertrud Hegelund in basic little black dresses with extravagantly luxurious jewels. The dresses have simple lines and no extra frills, making them the perfect backdrop for all the diamond-encrusted statement pieces. As they drip elegantly around the model's neck, the necklaces have a celestial theme to them with stars and sun shapes. The bracelets are chunky cuffs that match the earrings and brooches, all of which also carry the stars and sunburst imagery throughout the editorial.
Brilliant diamonds become glimmering stars and stand out against the black dresses that act as the night sky in this editorial.
