Designed by the [Ippolito Fleitz Group](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ritter-sport-schokozentrale), the [Cafe Pause's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-tondo) rebrand resulted in a charming space infused with urban cafe culture. The sophisticated contemporary cafe is diner-inspired and features mostly greyscale furniture with rose-colored walls and a pop of color with bright blue bar stools. An elegant bar made from marble and brass is the centerpiece surrounded by a variety of casual seating. Interestingly, the space's light fixtures come in the form of several architect's lamps coming out of two central pillars. This unique German cafe rebrand successfully brought an outdated suburban, neighborhood cafe into the 21st century in the form of an elegant diner-inspired eatery. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Contemporary Diner-inspired Cafes:** Opportunity to create contemporary cafe spaces with diner-inspired aesthetics and casual seating. - **Greyscale with Pops of Color:** Opportunity to incorporate greyscale furniture with pops of vibrant colors to create visually appealing spaces. - **Architectural Lighting Fixtures:** Opportunity to use unique architectural lighting fixtures as central design elements in cafes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for the hospitality industry to create modern dining experiences with diner-inspired aesthetics and unique lighting fixtures. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate a greyscale color palette with vibrant pops of color in their designs for cafes and other spaces. - **Lighting Fixtures:** Opportunity for lighting fixture manufacturers to create innovative and architecturally inspired designs for cafes and other commercial spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cross-Influence Fusion Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/challe-caf.md) - [Classic Parisian Bistro Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-cornichon.md) - [German Ambiance Bakery Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acid-bakery.md) - [Art Deco Café Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atypique-1.md) - [Building-Nestled Compact Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapel-cafe.md) - [Dynamic Layered Interior Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-tondo.md) - [Redeveloped Industrial Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ironworks-caf.md) - [Colorfully Interior Designed Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lackawanna-caf.md) - [Golden-Hour Café Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-goldie.md)
